Dr. Teresa DeFrancesco is a Professor of Cardiology and Critical Care at the North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. D is double boarded in Cardiology and Emergency and Critical Care. She completed her DVM degree at Cornell University, followed by a small animal internship at Virginia Tech and both residencies at NC State. She has been the recipient of numerous teaching and clinical awards. Dr. Ds areas of interest include improving the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure in dogs and cats, point of care ultrasound, and cardiac emergency management.
