Description

Too often, the fluids from tapped pleural effusions are tossed in practice or submitted to the reference lab for analysis. In this case-based session, we will equip attendees with the knowledge of proper fluid analysis, allowing for accurate results for proper patient management. Real cases from a series of dyspneic cats will be utilized, and attendees will be engaged and encouraged to participate in the diagnostic work-up for these cases. Cases will be presented by a paired Clinical Pathologist and Internal Medicine VTS to highlight the contributions of each team member.
