The Necessary Role of Humor in the ER

From client communication to leading in high-stakes moments, humor is an invaluable tool to achieving best practice medical outcomes while improving team morale. In this talk, Matt Asciutto discusses how he applies lessons from his 10 years of professional improv experience to life as an emergency relief veterinarian. By the end, attendees will not only learn how amazingly powerful levity can be in the ER, but they will also walk away with tactics they can use in their every day practice. Punchlines not included.

Building Confidence with The Emergency Tracheotomy

It includes indications for when this procedure is necessary, procedure preparation, sedation/anesthesia protocols, photos and video of the procedure, post-procedure care, potential complications, and final tracheotomy tube removal.
